An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
