The Bikini Cocktail
Makes enough for 10 servings
For the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Drink (produces 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
To prepare the Syrup: Put the listed ingredients in a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, take off the burner and leave to reach room temperature completely. Transfer into an sterilised bottle, cap it keeping it in the fridge, where it will keep for around one month.
Preparing the Cocktail Base: Combine every spirits and syrup in a sizeable container, let it rest for 60 minutes, then filter it best through a fine cloth, making it perfectly clear.
For serving: Measure 85ml of the cocktail base into a stirring glass packed with ice, gently stirring lightly for one minute to cool it down. Pour into an frosted cocktail glass or a similar vessel, garnish with a few cranberries and complete it using a quick spritz of the essential oil above the glass.
